Finance Graduate / trainee accountant
A highly successful Irish-owned international company with an estimated total turnover of €640million.
The Head Office is in Galway. The accounting team comprises around 40 staff in total, and is expanding due to business growth.
This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate with some accounts experience, interested in working in a high-volume, busy international environment.
Located in Galway and reporting to the Financial Controller.
Accurate data inputting into appropriate financial systems
General finance administration including:
• High volume invoice processing using SAP
• Creditor, bank and nominal ledger reconciliations
• Weekly and monthly financial reporting
• Payroll and Cash Office support
• Any other ad hoc assignments as assigned by management
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
Relevant third level qualification
Some experience in an Accounting environment
Strong organisational and administrative skills
Proficient in full Microsoft package, especially Excel
Ability to multitask and prioritise workload to meet deadlines
Excellent verbal, written, communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
Be motivated and ambitious, and have an appetite for hard work
Be highly numerate and process focused
Experience managing or supervising a team
There will be the opportunity to move to other areas within the finance department to develop experience.
